UML calls meeting to select candidates in three constituencies

KATHMANDU, April 1: CPN UML has called a Central Secretariat meeting to select candidates for the By-elections to be held in the three constituencies.

Deputy General Secretary Bishnu Rimal informed that a meeting will be held at the party central office in  Chyasal shortly. According to him, there is an agenda for discussing current issues including candidate selection. 

The By-elections will be held in Chitwan 2, Bara 2 and Tanahun 1 on April 23.

It is almost certain that UML will pick district Chairman Ram Prasad Neupane in Chitwan and Sarvendra Khanal in Tanahun 1. The secretariat meeting will decide who will be appointed by UML in Bara 2. 

The candidate nomination for the By-elections is scheduled for the 3rd of April.
