Election Commission requests party registration for by-elections

KATHMANDU, March 21: The Election Commission has requested the registration of political parties for the by-elections to elect members of the House of Representatives.

The Election Commission requested the registration of political parties for the by-elections to be held on April 23, 2023, for the Tanahun-1 and Bara-2 constituencies. The commission had previously registered parties for Chitwan-2.

The commission has requested political parties to register at the Election Commission's office in Kantipath in accordance with Schedule-12 of the Political Parties Regulations 2074 from March 22 to March 26.

The commission is going to conduct the by-elections in the three vacant constituencies simultaneously on April 23.
