JSP leader Ram Sahaya Yadav elected Vice President

KATHMANDU, March 17: Janata Samajbadi Party candidate Ram Sahaya Prasad Yadav has been elected Vice President. Yadav became elected Vice President by defeating UML candidate Ashta Laxmi Shakya and Janamat Party candidate Mamata Jha.

Elected Yadav got 184 votes at the Federal level and 329 votes at the Provincial level.

Similarly, the UML candidate Shakya got 104 votes at the Federal level and 169 votes at the Provincial level, while Janamat Party candidate Jha got 23 votes at the Federal level and 15 votes at the Provincial level.

Pramila Yadav, who had withdrawn her candidacy, got voted by one parliamentarian at the Provincial level.
