Province 1 renamed Koshi Province

BIRATNAGAR, March 2: Province 1 has been renamed Koshi Province after the proposal was passed in the Provincial Assembly meeting held on Wednesday.
According to the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers, a public holiday throughout the Province has been announced on Thursday in celebration of the name of Province No. 1 as Koshi Province in the second term of the Provincial Assembly.
The Ministry informed that on the occasion of the naming of Province 1 as Koshi Province, it has announced a holiday by congratulating all the residents of the province. In the voting held on Wednesday, 82 votes were cast in favor of Koshi province and 4 against.
