By election of Sudurpaschim’s National Assembly: Voting begins

KATHMANDU, Feb 8: The by-election of the Sudurpaschim Province’s National Assembly has begun.

The voting for the election kicked off at 10 AM this morning.

Members of the Provincial Assembly and leaders of the local units are casting their votes.

Of 305 votes in the provincial assembly, 87 are lawmakers of the province whereas 218 are leaders of the local units.

Kumar Dashaudi of CPN-UML, Madhav Prasad Acharya of Nepali Congress and Rajendra Bir Raya of Nagarik Unmukti Party are vying for the post.
