USAID chief Samantha returning home today

KATHMANDU, Feb. 8: Samantha Power, head of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), is returning to her home country today. She is on a two-day visit to Nepal and is to return home today after a high-level meeting.
Samantha visited Nepal less than a week after Victoria Nuland, the US State Department's deputy minister for political affairs, returned from a visit to Nepal. She is also a member of the National Security Council of the United States and is also a high-ranking official of the United States Cabinet.
She met with President Bidya Devi Bhandari, Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda', Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel, Foreign Minister Dr. Bimala Rai Paudel and stressed the implementation of the American Cooperation Project (MCC).
