Artist Mahadev Tripathi honoured with 'Gorkhali Samman' in America

KATHMANDU, Feb. 7: Famous comedian Mahadev Tripathi has been honored in America. Joyce Watterman, Council President of the State of New Jersey, USA, honored him with the 'Gorkhali Samman'.
He was given the honour by Dr. Bishnumaya Pariyar during a ceremony held in New Jersey, America. Pariyar, a Nepali citizen, is Watterman's advisor. Due to her physical condition, Watterman sent Pariyar as her representative.
Prior to this, Pariyar was a former advisor to Jersey City Mayor Steven Fulop's Diversity and Inclusion Board and is currently a member of Jersey City's Women's Advisory and Employment Training Committee. Famous photographer Sagar Gurung, Ramesh Kumar Darnal, and others were present in the program.
Artist Tripathi, who arrived in America a few months ago with the purpose of performing Nepali art culture and musical entertainment, has been enthralling the audience with magic, comedy, and music. Tripathi has done about a dozen programs in New York, Virginia, California, Dallas, New Jersey, and other places in America. Tripathi informed that there are still some programs left in different cities in America.
Manaslu World College Chuchchepati sent Tripathi from Nepal for the US program. The purpose of his America program is to entertain the Nepalese in America and exhibit Nepali art and culture in different cities of America and attract Nepalis and Americans living in America to visit Nepal. Artist Tripathi has been honored in different parts of America.
