Prime Minister Prachanda's request to start the presidential election process
KATHMANDU, Jan. 2: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' has requested the officials of the Commission to prepare for the election of the President, Vice President, and the vacant members of the National Assembly. In the discussion held at the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers office on Monday, Prachanda asked the officials of the commission to start the necessary process for the election of the president, vice president, and member of the National Assembly as per the provisions of the constitution and law.
Prime Minister Prachanda has said that they will hold a discussion between political parties and reach a conclusion for the election of the vacant position of National Assembly member, President, and Vice-President. Prime Minister expressed his gratitude to the commission officials for efficiently conducting the local-level elections, district assembly member elections, and representative house member elections.
Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Paudel, Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Ravi Lamichhane, and others were present in the meeting. In the meeting, the chief commissioner of the commission, Dinesh Kumar Thapaliya, and other commissioners informed about the functioning of the election commission and the election process.
