Standing committee meeting of CPN (Unified Samajwadi) started

KATHMANDU, Dec. 31: The meeting of the Standing Committee of CPN (Unified Socialist) has started. The meeting started at the party's central office in Aloknagar. Addressing the meeting, party president Madhav Kumar Nepal said that the alliance was broken due to not considering the political situation in time. He said that a new type of challenge has emerged in politics and there is no option but to address it in the coming days.
It is said that the meeting will decide whether their party will join the government of the new coalition or not. President Nepal had discussed whether or not to participate in the government, through a virtual meeting earlier. The meeting of the standing committee is currently continuing at the party office.
