Journalist turned politician Lamichhane appointed Home Minister

KATHMANDU, Dec 26: Journalist turned politician, Rabi Lamichhane has been appointed the Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister of Nepal.
Lamichhane had earlier formed a new political party named Rastriya Prajatantra Party and participated in the general election. His newly formed party got victorious and he is now joining the government with the responsibility of the Home Minister.
Along with Lamichhane, Vishnu Poudel, deputy chairman of CPN-UML has been given the responsibility of the Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister while Narayan Kaji Shrestha, deputy chairman of CPN (Maoist Center) have been given the responsibility of the Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister for the Physical Infrastructure.  
Likewise, Jwala Kumari Shah, Damodar Bhandari, Rajendra Kumar Rai and Abdhul Khan are also in the list of the eight member Council of Ministers formed under the leadership of PM Dahal.
