These are the spouses making entry in the HoR

KATHMANDU, Dec 11: Three spouses have won election of the members House of Representatives (HoR) recently held in November. 

Of the husbands and wives, two pairs are joining the HoR under the direct and proportional representation systems while one pair won the election under the direct election system. 

They are:

1) Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba and his wife Arju Deuba

2) Federal Council Chairman of Janata Samajwadi Party Ashok Rai and his wife Shushila Shrestha

3) Rahu  Bir Mahaseth of CPN-UML and his wife Juli Mahaseth 

These are the couples who failed to get elected together:

1) Barshaman Pun of CPN(Maoist Center) got elected as a member of HoR but his wife Onsari Gharti failed.

2) Nepali Cogress’s Bal Krishna Khand failed to win the election while his wife Manju Khand is soon to be a parliamentarian after being elected under the proportional representation category.
