Master plan mooted for sports development

Pokhara, Pokhara Lekhnath Metropolitan City Mayor Man Bahadur GC said they have mooted for charting out a master plan for sports development in Pokhara. 
He said this while inaugurating the 18th male and 9th female National Handball Tournament underway at Pokhara Stadium on Wednesday. 
The Nepal Handball Association took the initiative for the event which was hosted by Kaski District Handball Association and sponsored by Hong Kong Beauty Institute. 
Mayor GC shared that the sports and tourism development are the top priorities of Pokhara. 
Sports ground will be arranged in all 33 wards of metropolis and special programme will be designed to incentivize athletes, he added. 
On the occasion, Nepal Handball Association central chairperson Tej Gurung said there is big potential of handball sports in Nepal and expressed hope that Nepal could win medal in international tournament of handball. 
Total 14 teams including seven each towards male and female categories are taking part in the tournament. The tournament will last on January 6.
