Cooking oil price goes down by Rs 80 per liter in a week
KATHMANDU, Sept 18: The price of cooking oil went down by Rs 80 per liter in a week in the Nepali market.
With the government’s decision to reduce custom duty on import of the raw materials, the price of the cooking oil has begun to go down.
According to Amul Kaji Tuladhar, general secretary at the Nepal Retail Business Association, the price of the cooking oil that had skyrocketed in the past few months has begun going down in the past one week.
The cooking oil (Suryamukhi) that was traded at Rs 360 to 370 per liter earlier is now being traded at Rs 290 per liter. Likewise, the cooking oil (soyabean) that was being traded at Rs 320 earlier is being traded at Rs 255 per liter these days.
