Govt decides to provide daily allowance of Rs 1200 each to those police personnel to be mobilized during upcoming polls

KATHMANDU, Sept 15: The government has decided to provide a daily allowance of Rs 1,200 each to those police personnel to be mobilized during the upcoming election of the federal and provincial level.
As per the decision those police personnel to be mobilized at the place where they are currently working will be given the allowance for seven days while those who will be mobilized to places other than their workplace will be given the allowance for 14 days, according to SSP Dhan Bahadur Karki at Secretariat of the Inspector General of Police.
Likewise, the Finance Ministry has issued Rs 5,000,000 for the Police Headquarters to purchase medicines required for security personnel during the polls.
