Temporary police to be recruited during upcoming polls to be given a salary of Rs 42,000
Apart from their salary, these temporary police personnel will also be provided a travel allowance of Rs 1,000 and Rs 6,000 for their uniform.

KATHMANDU, Aug 31: The government has decided to provide a salary of Rs 41,960 to the temporary police to be recruited during the upcoming polls of the House of Representatives (HoR) and the provincial assemblies, according to DIG Tek Prasad Rai, spokesperson for the Nepal Police.
The salary includes the cost of ration as well.
Earlier, the Finance Ministry had approved the recruitment of 115,000 temporary police for the upcoming election.
Apart from their salary, these temporary police personnel will also be provided a travel allowance of Rs 1,000 and Rs 6,000 for their uniform.
These temporary police personnel will serve the government during the election for 40 days.
