Chaos at Banchare Danda: More than 300 security personnel mobilized, one arrested

KATHMANDU, Aug 17: More than 300 security personnel were mobilized at Banchare Danda after the locals obstructed disposal of waste materials from Kathmandu Valley.

The police have also arrested an individual on the charge of obstructing the disposal of waste materials at the landfill site, according to Ramesh Pandit, SP of Nuwakot district.

Both the Nepal Police and Armed Police Force were mobilized in the area after the locals obstructed the disposal of waste materials.

Earlier on Tuesday, police had fired five rounds of aerial shots to bring the situation under control in the area.
