Know the general election’s schedule

KATHMANDU, Aug 9: The Election Commission on Monday approved the schedule for the federal and provincial elections to be held on November 20 later this year.

According to the schedule, polling officers will be appointed on September 27, offices will be established on October 7 and nominations will be filed on October 9.

Likewise, the final list of candidates will be published on October 12, according to Chief Election Commissioner Dinesh Kumar Thapaliya. Similarly, the nominations of candidates for the proportional election system is scheduled for September 18 and 19. 

The ballot papers will be printed from October 14. 

According to the poll body, all kinds of election related publicity will be banned from November 17.

The election will be held from 7 AM to 5 PM on November 20.
