IN PICS: Swollen Saptakoshi forces hundreds to abandon their homes

KATHMANDU, Aug 3: Continuous rainfall across the country in the past few days has raised the water level in Saptakoshi River, the largest river of the country.

As the river swells and begins to enter human settlements, people are forced to abandon their homes and move to safer and higher grounds.

Around 20,000 people living nearby the Koshi River are likely to be displaced, according to the local bodies there.
