15 lawmakers register proposal to suspend deliberation on budget

KATHMANDU, June 13: As many as 15 lawmakers including Bishal Bhattarai, chief whip of CPN-UML, the main opposition party, registered a proposal to suspend the ongoing deliberation on the budget in parliament.

The lawmakers have suggested the government begin deliberation on issues of fertilizers, suspending the deliberation on the budget for now.

Bhattarai is scheduled to present the proposal in the meeting of the House of Representatives on Monday.
