Cartoon of the Week: Balen Shah seems 'unstoppable'
KATHMANDU, May 23: Balen Shah, independent mayoral candidate for the post of mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City, has maintained the lead in the vote count since day one despite his contenders being backed by the ruling alliance and the main opposition party.
Srijana Singh, a mayoral candidate of Nepali Congress, is backed by the ruling alliance including CPN (Maoist Center), CPN (Unified Socialist), Janata Samajbadi Party and Rastriya Janamorcha Party.
Keshav Sthapit is a mayoral candidate representing the main opposition party, the CPN-UML.
However, Balen Shah seems unstoppable in the race for the post of mayor of KMC’s mayor.
