Contribution of agriculture in GDP declines, service sectors estimated to contribute 61.8 percent (with data)

KATHMANDU, April 28: Contribution of agriculture in the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of fiscal year 2078/79 BS has declined.
According to data revealed by the Central Bureau of Statistic, the contribution of the agricultural sector to the GDP is estimated to be 24.5 percent. The percent is 0.51 percent less than that of the last fiscal year.
According to the Bureau, heavy rainfall that triggered flash floods and landslides last year caused the decline of agricultural products in the country.
Likewise, the contribution of the industrial sector is estimated to be 13.7 percent while the contribution of the service sector is estimated to be 61.8 percent.
