Japanese envoy distributes sports materials
Kathmandu - Japanese Ambassador to Nepal, Masashi Ogawa, today distributed sports materials worth about two million rupees to Nepal Ski Association.
Ambassador Ogawa handed sports materials related to Ski to Association chair Jeevan Ram Shrestha amid a function organised at the Embassy of Japan in Kathmandu.
While providing sports materials, ambassador Ogawa said he was hopeful that the support would contribute to develop the ski sports in Nepal.
The skiing is the game of adventure which is played by gliding over snow which has been in practice in Nepal since 2007.
This game is enjoyed on the hills of Manang and Mustang in winter. It is one of the most popular games in Japan.
The embassy sources shared that the government of Japan has supported different sports materials in over 100 countries across the world under its' Sport for Tomorrow' campaign.
