1,533 delegates to participate in Maoist Center’s nat’l conference

KATHMANDU, Dec 22: Ruling CPN (Maoist Center) has been gearing up for its national conference being held in the capital next week. 

A total of 1,533 delegates will participate in the conference, of which 803 are provincial delegates. 

Speaking to the media at the party’s head office in Paris Danda on Wednesday, spokesperson Krishna Bahadur Mahara said that 179 delegates will join on behalf of the organizing committee. 

Similarly, 149 others will be participating representing the advisors, 102 from the senior communists and 27 others are central delegates. 

Of the 803 delegates representing the provinces, the highest 128 will be from Bagmati Province and the lowest 74 from Gandaki. 

Other delegates participating in the conference include 96 (Province 1), 106 (Province 2), 105 (Lumbini), 87 (Karnali) and 84 (Sudur Paschim). 

The conference is to be held at the Nepal Academy building from December 26 to 28.
