3,300 plus votes counted, Deuba leading with 1,984 votes

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister and incumbent president of the Nepali Congress Sher Bahadur Deuba has been leading the vote-count tally for the presidential race of the party. 

While Deuba has secured 1,984 votes of the 3,318 votes counted so far, his only contender Dr Shekhar Koirala has secured 1,309 votes. 

Similarly, 25 other votes were declared invalid.
