Main opposition had also obstructed all House meetings between Sept8 and Oct 29
KATHMANDU: Fresh session of the lower House of Representatives (HoR) commenced on Tuesday afternoon.
The meeting, however, is being obstructed by the main opposition CPN-UML.
UML lawmakers rose from their seats and picketed the rostrum as soon as Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota began proceedings.
Immediately after SpeakerSapkota began the House proceedings, lawmakers of the main opposition picketed the rostrum and chanted slogans against the latter for not taking action against 14 lawmakers including Madhav Kumar Nepal, Chairman of newly formed CPN (Unified Socialist), whom the UML had sacked. They also demanded the Speaker restrict the entry of those 14 lawmakers.
The main opposition had also obstructed all the House meetings since the new session began on September 8.
