Lottery system for scheduling cases for hearing at SC from Dec 1
KATHMANDU, November 25: The scheduling for cases of hearing at the Supreme Court (SC) is to begin from December 1.
A full count summoned by the apex court at 2 PM on Thursday took the decision to begin scheduling the cases by drawing lots for hearing.
According to Devendra Dhakal, an Information Officer at the SC, the decision has been taken as per the amended rules.
Prior to this, there was a provision of scheduling cases for hearings by the Chief Justice in Nepal.
The Nepal Bar Association and some of the justices of the SC have been staging protests against CJ Rana demanding his resignation.
