NBA to organize ‘march-past’ against CJ Rana on Thursday, sit-in protests in all 18 high courts today

KATHMANDU, November 24: The Nepal Bar Association (NBA) decided to organize a march-past to protest against the Chief Justice Cholendra Shumsher JB Rana on Thursday pressuring him to step down.

The march will start from the Supreme Court and end at Baluwatar.

The march will be accompanied by civil society leaders as well, according to Chandeshwar Shrestha, Chairman of the association.

Likewise, the NBA is organizing sit-in protests at all the 18 high courts across the country on Wednesday.

The NBA has been staging protests against CJ Rana and the country is facing a judicial deadlock which doesn’t seem to end any time soon.

Even though the Supreme Court has introduced a lottery system to schedule cases for hearing, the disputes at the apex court have remained the same.
