CoAS Chhetri takes stock of modernization of British Army
Kathmandu - Chief of Army Staffs (CoAS) Rajendra Chhetri, reached the UK at the invitation of the Chief of General Staff of the British Army, Nicholas Patrick Carter.
CoAS Chhetri travelled to the UK from the USA where he took part in the 2nd Summit of the troops contributing countries held at the United Nations Headquarters in New York, according to the Directorate of Public Relations of NA.
In the UK, CoAS Chhetri held separate meetings with the Chief of General Staff of the British Army, Carter, as well as other high-ranking officials of the Gorkha Brigade and took stock of the modernization of the British Army.
Discussion on the matters of mutual interests was held during the meeting, according to the Directorate.
The visit of CoAS Chhetri to the UK is expected to further bolster the 200-years-old ties between Nepal and the UK as well as to augment the military cooperation and goodwill between the two countries.
CoAS Chhetri is returning home on July 15.
