Construction of a 300 beds capacity cancer hospital begins

Surunga, Jhapa, A 300 beds capacity cancer hospital with sophisticated equipments is to be constructed in Jhapa. 
To be called the Eastern Region Cancer Hospital, it will be constructed within the premises of the B&C Hospital at local Birtamod. The estimated cost of the hospital is Rs 2.50 billion. 
Executive Director of B&C Hospital, Durga Prasain laid the foundation stone for the construction of the hospital amidst a programme here today. Executive Director Prasain said the hospital building would be constructed in six months. 
The B&C Hospital has been providing treatment services except radiation to the cancer patients before this.
