63 % service seekers in Sankhuwasabha unaware of citizen's charter

Kathmandu, Some 63 percent government service seekers in Sankhuwasabha, a mountainous district in the eastern Nepal, are completely unaware of the citizen's charter.
This is the finding of a survey conducted by the National Vigilance Centre in the district, the part of Province 1.
During the survey, the centre had questioned the people/ service seekers visiting the District Administration Office, Inland Revenue Office, Survey Office and District Coordination Office, among others, according to Centre spokesperson Bishnuraj Lamichhane.
Likewise, authorities concerned were found not serious towards making the service seekers/recipients aware of the citizen's charter. No special provision is in place to make illiterate people familiar with the document. It was found displayed in a corner of the office building just for formality.
