Kul Acharya announces candidacy for NRNA President

KATHMANDU: Kul Acharya has announced his candidacy for the position of President of the Non-Resident Nepalese Association (NRNA). 

In an event organized in the capital on Sunday, Acharya said that his candidacy is to maintain the reputation of the organization through a transparent, systematic and institutional manner. 

Addressing the program, he said that system, transparency and inclusive NRNA would be his priority. On the occasion, he also took time to claim that he would not impose his personal interests. 

He also put forth his plan to extend the membership number to 500,000, resolve issues faced by Nepali migrant workers, make institutional initiatives to bring those Nepalis who are in foreign jails and set up a skill-based training center in seven provinces each. 

Originally from Parbat district, Acharya is a London-based entrepreneur. He had lost to Kumar Pant for the presidential position in the Ninth General Convention of the organization.
