KATHMANDU: Nepal has set a target of 197 runs for Oman in the ongoing match under ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup League 2. 

After winning the toss, Nepali skipper Gyanednra Malla opted to bat first. 

Nepali side lost all its wickets for 196 runs in the 48th over. Except for opener Aasif Sheikh, no other could bat efficiently against the home side. Sheikh scored 90 runs off 112 balls before he was bowled out by Bilal Khan. Khan took four wickets to help his team restrict the visiting team to under 200 runs. He claimed the wickets of opener Kushal Bhurtel (0), Kushal Malla (4) and Bikram Sob (2). 

Skipper Malla and pacer Karan KC scored 21 runs each and Rohit Paudel, who scored a half century against the USA on Monday, added only 20 runs on Tuesday. While spinner Sandeep Lamichhane contributed 16 runs, wicket keeper Binod Bhandari lost his wicket for just 6 runs. 

Oman’s Nestor Dhamba sent two Nepali batsmen to pavilion and Zeeshan Maqsood and Mohammad Nadeem took a wicket each.
