Amid House obstruction by main opposition, Speaker Sapkota summons all-party meeting

KATHMANDU: Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota has summoned an all-party meeting for Monday. 

Speaker Sapkota’s call for the all-party meeting comes at a time when the main opposition, CPN-UML has been obstructing the proceedings of the House of Representatives (HoR) since the new session began on Wednesday nearly after a month. 

Home Minister Bal Krishna Khand confirmed that the meeting has been called for 2:30 PM on Monday a day before the next House meeting has been scheduled for 1 PM, Tuesday. 

Minister Khand also added that the government is ready to resolve the issue through the dialogue between the ruling and opposition sides.
