UML lawmakers continue House obstruction on Sunday
KATHMANDU: Lawmakers of the main opposition CPN-UML have continued House obstruction on Sunday as well.
Immediately after Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota began the House proceedings, lawmakers of the main opposition picketed the rostrum and chanted slogans against Speaker Sapkota. for not taking action against 14 lawmakers including Madhav Kumar Nepal, Chairman of newly formed CPN (Unified Socialist), whom the UML had sacked. They also demanded the Speaker restrict the entry of those 14 lawmakers.
Speaker Sapkota deferred the House proceedings for 15 minutes amid the obstruction.
The UML also obstructed House meetings on Wednesday and Friday as well.
