PHOTOS: MCC Vice Prez calls on UML Chair Oli

KATHMANDU: Fatema Z Sumar, vice president of the Department of Compact Operations at the US Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC), on Thursday afternoon,  called on UML Chairman and former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli at the latter’s private residence in Balkot. 

A team of the MCC including Fatema reached Balkot where two sides discussed the MCC Nepal Compact which is awaiting ratification from Nepal’s parliament. 

The officials including Fatema and Deputy Vice President Jonathan Brooks arrived in Kathmandu on Thursday morning for a four-day visit mainly to discuss the MCC.

The MCC officials are scheduled to call on Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba, Finance Minister Janardan Sharma and Energy Minister Pampha Bhusal among others.
