Left alliance wins both PA seats in Rukum east

 

Rukum, CPN (MC) candidates representing the left alliance have won both the Provincial Assembly seats in Rukum east. 
In the PA constituency 'A', the party's Tej Bahadur Oli won with 5,427 votes and his nearest rival was NC's Duta Kumar Pun who got 2,144 votes. 
Likewise, in constituency 'B', Purna Bahadur Gharti of the CPN-MC defeated NC's Dutta Bahadur Basnet with a margin of 2,705 votes. Gharti secured 5,816 votes while Basnet bagged 3,111 votes, according to Chief Returning Officer Durga Bahadur Bhusal. 
Now the counting of votes has begun for the proportional representation (PR) system of the election held in November 26. Kamala Roka, also of the CPN-MC was elected to the House of Representatives from the district.
