Govt preparing to table  budget replacement bill in parliament on Thursday

KATHMANDU: The Finance Ministry is preparing to present the budget replacement bill in parliament on September 9 (Thursday). 

The bill will replace the annual budget introduced by the KP Oli government through the ordinance. 

According to the ministry sources, a draft of the bill has already been finalized. No change has been made in the size of the budget. 

A fresh session of parliament is scheduled to begin on Wednesday. 

The government is planning to get the bill endorsed within a week of its registration in the House. 

However, the main opposition party is reportedly obstructing the House session to protest the government’s attempt to introduce a replacement bill.
