NC, UML holding parliamentary party meetings ahead of fresh parliament session
KATHMANDU: Ruling Nepali Congress (NC) and main opposition CPN-UML have summoned separate parliamentary party (PP) meetings on Monday afternoon ahead of the fresh session of parliament that is scheduled to begin on Wednesday.
The NC parliamentary party meeting will be held at 2PM in the New Baneshwar-based Federal Parliament Building, according to Dila Sangruala, a Congress lawmaker. “The meeting will discuss the party's role in the upcoming House meetings,” she said.
UML, on the other hand, will hold its parliamentary meeting on Wednesday morning at 9 AM. UML Chief Whip, Bishal Bhattarai said that the meeting will dwell on the various agendas the party will raise in the House session.
Meanwhile, the ruling CPN (Maoist Center) is also preparing to call a PP meeting ahead of the parliament session. Maoist leader Dev Gurung, however, said that the time for the meeting is yet to be finalized.
