Army persons Gurung, Tamang get clean-chit

KATHMANDU: The military special court of Nepal Army has given a clean chit to corporal Lab Kumar Gurung and soldier Saroj Tamang, who faced two years of imprisonment in a case wherein arms were disappeared from the Nepal Army battalion, Chitwan in 2075 BS. 

Although they have been reinstated to their posts, the special court has however halted the promotion of Gurung and Tamang for three years effective from April 1, 2019. 

The court's verdict delivered on 2 September has already come into implementation, said the Public Relations and Information Directorate of the Nepal Army.
