We’ll not go for merger with any party immediately: CPN (US) Chair Nepal
KATHMANDU, Aug 29: Chairman of CPN (Unified Socialist), Madhav Kumar Nepal said that his party does not have any plans for a merger with another party immediately.
Addressing the first parliamentary party meeting of the newly formed CPN (US) on Sunday, Chairman Nepal said that the party would rather strengthen the party organizations at the district level. “We should strengthen the existing party structures at the district level. We won’t merge with any party immediately.”
Speaking further, he instructed the lawmakers to participate actively in building a strong party structure.
On the occasion, he also took the time to accuse CPN-UML KP Sharma Oli of destroying the party.
It is to be noted that, Nepal, once a senior leader of the UML, formed a new party a couple of weeks ago. The party was formally registered at the Election Commission (EC) on Wednesday, last week.
