CPN-UML summons CC meeting today
KATHMANDU, August 26: The CPN-UML has summoned its central committee (CC) meeting on Thursday.
The party called its CC meeting under the leadership of KP Sharma Oli for the first time after the senior leader formed a separate party.
According to Sher Bahadur Tamang, secretary at the party office, the meeting has been summoned for noon at Tulsilal Memorial Academy at Chasal.
A standing committee meeting held two days ago took the decision to hold a CC meeting today.
The meeting is likely to discuss its upcoming plans after the split, revise the current situation among others.
On Wednesday, the splinter faction of UML-led by Madhav Kumar Nepal successfully registered the new party named CPN (Unified Socialalist)at the Election Commission with the support of 55 central committee members and 30 lawmakers.
