Madhav Nepal-led NCP (Unified Socialist) to have 151-member Central Committee, seven vice chairmen

KATHMANDU, Aug 24: NCP (Unified Socialist) led by Madhav Kumar Nepal will have a 151-member central committee. 

As per the draft of the party statute, the party’s central committee will have 115  full-time members, 36 alternative and 17 office bearers. The team of office bearers includes a chairman, a senior leader and seven vice chairmen. Similarly, the office bearers’ list includes a general secretary, two deputy general secretaries and seven secretaries. 

The interim statute states that there will be at least 33 percent female members in the central committee, which has been envisioned as the supreme executive committee in the party. 

The party will include youths below 40 years of age in all party committee.
