Devotees throng Pashupatinath Temple marking Janai Purnima (photo feature)

KATHMANDU, August 22: The Janai Purnima is observed annually on the Shrawan Shukla Purnima across the country. 

Hindus across the country visit nearby temples and rivers and change their  Janai (sacred thread) on this occasion.

Hindu people in the Kathmandu Valley are observing the festival visiting various temples including Pashupatinath and Kumbheshwor.
