Political parties launch voter education in Terhathum

Terhathum, Political parties have also been carrying out voter education in Terhathum district with the objective of minimizing the number of invalid votes in the December 7 elections. 
They have printed sample ballot papers for the same, while making the voter education as part of their election campaign. "We for our part are training voters on ways to avoid invalid votes, said the district Nepali Congress secretary Santosh Subba. 
Likewise, the CPN-UML is involved in the educating campaign. "All voters are not aware of how to vote. So we have started the campaign to keep them away from invalid votes," said the district UML deputy secretary Bhupati Lal Shrestha. 
Many voters in the district are ignorant of voter education. "I am still unaware of the education," said a local Indu Sambahamphe at Myanglung Municipality-8. 
The district election office is also providing voter education. It has deployed an official each all the 89 polling centers for the same.
