Newly appointed Province 2 Governor Mishra takes oath of office and secrecy

KATHMANDU, August 17: Newly appointed Province Chief of Province 2, Hari Shankar  Mishra took an oath of office and secrecy on Tuesday.

Mishra was sworn-in as the chief of Province 2 amid an event at the President Office at Sithalniwas.

According to a press statement issued by the President Office, President Bidya Devi Bhandari administered the oath to  Mishra as per Article 167 of the Constitution of Nepal.

The event was attended by Vice-President Nanda Bahadur Pun. Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba, Speaker of the lower house of parliament, Agni Prasad Sapkota and Chairman of National Assembly Ganesh Timilsina among others.

A cabinet meeting held earlier on Monday has recommended President Bhandari to appoint Minshra as the chief of Province 2.
