JSP’s CC meeting today

KATHMANDU, August 17: A central committee meeting of Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP) has been scheduled for 11 AM on Tuesday. The meeting is to be held at the Dillibazar-based party palace in the capital.

The party’s CC meeting is to be held this afternoon for the first time after the Upendra Yadav-led faction was granted legitimacy by the Election Commission.

The meeting is likely to discuss the party's participation in the government, power sharing and selection of ministers, according to Manish Suman, a CC member of the party.

After the Mahanta Thakur-led faction of the party failed to gain legitimacy from the EC, the number of CC member of the party has now been confined to 515.
