COVID-19: Nepal reports 2,212 new cases thru 12,106 tests

KATHMANDU, Aug 15: Officials confirmed 2,212 new cases of the novel coronavirus disease in the past 24 hours as of Sunday afternoon.
In its regular media release, the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) shared that 33 people died and 1,867 others recovered from the disease in the same period.
A total of 12,106 tests (both RT-PCR and antigen tests) were conducted across the country, according to the ministry.
With this, 682,682 people got over the disease as of Sunday afternoon while the fatality tally hits 10,292.
There are at least 39,298 active cases of the disease in the country.
