IN PICS: People wear facemasks improperly despite growing corona fears
KATHMANDU, Aug 14: Public health experts have already warned of the third wave of the coronavirus disease in the country.
The data released by the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) also shows that the number of new cases on a daily basis is on the rise.
Health experts advise people to adhere to safety precautions including wearing face masks to avert the transmission of the disease. Many people, however, are found to have been neglecting.
Some people are found in public places without facemasks. Some others seem either unaware of proper use or neglect the severity of the disease.
According to health experts, one should make sure the mask covers both the nose, mouth and chin. However, most people are found leaving their noses uncovered. They wear their masks only to cover their chins or necks.
Krishna Man Amatya, who was found selling fruits on the Lalitpur streets said that he could not wear the mask covering his nose and mouth as it is difficult for him to breathe.
Ganesh Budhathoki also had a similar story to tell. He said that he puts off face masks during smoking and social gatherings.
