Railway Company GM Bhattarai resigns

KATHMANDU, Aug 11: General Manager of Nepal Railway Company Limited, Guru Prasad Bhattarai stepped down from his position on Wednesday.
In his resignation letter addressed to the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport, Bhattarai said that the incumbent Deuba government, ‘directed by the leaders of the ruling alliance’, sought clarifications from him by violating his right to freedom of expression.
Earlier on August 3, he was asked to furnish clarifications.
