COVID-19: Nepal reports sudden spike, 4,904 new cases confirmed

KATHMANDU, Aug 10: The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) on Tuesday confirmed 4,904 new cases. 

With this the total number of COVID-19 cases has soared to 720,680 (RT-PCR) and 71,230 (antigen tests). 

Meanwhile, 2,115 more corona patients got over the disease while 35 others succumbed to the fatal disease. 

According to the ministry, there are 37,332 active cases of the disease across the country. Of the active cases, 731 patients are undergoing treatment at ICUs while 176 others are being treated with ventilator support.
